ALI COONEY-URIBE

Ali Cooney-Uribe was born in Tucson, Arizona in the year 1990. She is currently attending The University of Arizona to complete her BFA in Photography with a minor in Geography. She works in both digital and traditional photographic media. She also makes 3-D multimedia works, installations, and video. 

 

Her work centers on gender politics, food politics, sociopolitical interaction, and the absurd nature of socially constructed reality. She often employs dark humor, cinematic/literary allusions, and play-on-words to create uncanny narratives. Her goal is to make people laugh as often as they have existential crises.
